Richard’s past is deep-rooted in hair designing for men and women. After 35 years of hair styling and producing hair systems, he is the most sought-after artist/authority on making a hair system perform like a real head of growing hair.

He regularly performs at many hair conventions as a recognized platform artist. And his solon clientele consists of a broad cross-section of the world’s artistic community.

His haircutting skills mandated that he develop and teach his haircutting method called Biometrics, which he taught at many hair shows and his advanced hair academy.

He opened his first hair replacement salon in North Hollywood. Soon after, we opened salons in New York City, Atlanta, Chicago, and Hollywood.

Once the world saw Richard’s ultra custom hair systems, everyone wanted them. He then allowed multiple affiliate salons to sell his systems in the USA, England, India, and Canada.

While Richard was doing hair on movie sets, he saw wigmakers make actors look better with hair systems. They looked okay for movies but not good enough for the general public to wear on the streets.

Richard feels hair systems need to be perfect. He dedicated his life to changing the image of wearing a hair system by producing hair systems for the public that are undetectable to sight and touch.

Richard accomplished his goal. His proprietary and thin lace material and inventive production techniques created hair systems rated the best in the world. They not only look like a head-on naturally growing hair but also disappear on the scalp and cannot be felt.

Richard introduced his lace hair systems to the hair replacement industry at the American Hair Loss Council Trade Show in Atlanta. Time flies. That was about 35 years ago or longer. All of the factories that produce hair systems were there, along with middleman companies that order hair systems from those factories and owners of hair replacement salons.

Richard and his staff took the main stage at that trade show, putting his hair systems on male and female models. The crowd was astounded and wouldn’t let them off the stage. On that day, the industry changed to offering lace systems.

Richard Farrell’s hair systems keep improving year after year. And every year they are state of the art. Initially, lace systems were messy, but Richard developed new system-friendly attachment techniques.

In the past, companies produced their hair systems in the back rooms of hair replacement salons by people who knew the art of making hair systems. But then, the Chinese factories came into existence. Richard’s competitors chose to stop making their hair systems on the premises and started ordering cheap hair systems from China. That resulted in the artistry getting sucked out of the hair replacement industry.

Richard took the opposite approach. He decided hair systems could look better, so he opened his production facility in Rosarito Beach, Baja, Mexico.

Richard is the most sought-after expert in hair systems making. Now, with UCH, his new company, he creates new techniques and materials to improve his hair systems further.
